Today marks the first day of my journey with Rybelsus, I acquired from Online Pharmacy. Not referring, just information. My current weight stands at 14 stone 5 pounds, and my height is 5 feet 8 inches. I took my first tablet right when I woke up. I'm excited about this new chapter and would love for anyone interested to follow along. I plan to provide updates on my weight loss progress on a weekly basis, optimistically hoping for positive results. Joining this journey could be a great opportunity for us to share tips, experiences, and encouragement. I understand the importance of consistency and patience in this process, and I'm prepared for the ups and downs. It’s a step towards a healthier lifestyle, and I’m curious to see how Rybelsus will work for me. Let’s embark on this path together, sharing insights and supporting each other along the way.

Yes, I’m worried the effects will wear off before I can move up a dose. Although I’m feeling sick again this evening so I spoke too soon.

KayliDzhener · 13/10/2023 08:26

Urgh gained a pound, first time tho so today I have to lose 2lb or not reach my goal. I am jet washing the outside of the house today if the wind dies down so it might be doable. Have a great weekend.

RubyRed · 13/10/2023 08:27

@KayliDzhener could it just be water retention? My weight can fluctuate by 5/6lbs at different points in my cycle.

Morning, thought I’d check in. I too have gained in the last few days 😳 4lbs to be precise when I weighed this morning!! Thing is I haven’t been overly awful with eating for example yesterday no breakfast as busy and on the go all day (12k steps), lunch a ham roll small slice of friends bday cake and dinner absolutely nothing as was out and couldn’t manage it bar couple of mouthfuls (I know this isn’t healthy but I was busy so busy yesterday) and had a glass of fizz. Anyway hopped on scales this morning and had gained 2lbs since yesterday 🙁. I’m now really worried about how the weight will pile on once tablets are stopped! Today I will try harder with each meal, just waiting for 30 mins to pass and then going to have a small bowl of porridge. I have to say it’s gutting as had gone down into next stone bracket and it’s taken a while even on these tablets and now I’m back up into the one I can’t seem to get out if for years. I’m still waiting to see how all you guys go on 14mg and then May have to bite the bullet. Hey ho todays a new day!!

Hey everyone, just checking in. 12kg down since 5/3 so very happy but not sure what to do.

Am due to go on holiday 27/5 and need to order tablets before I go. I was allowed by HE to do 2 months on 7mg as I didn't want side effects to ramp up if I moved to 14mg and 7mg is working for me.

Just seen upthread that someone was refused to stay on 7mg by HE and it's made me worry that if they do the same with me I'll be sick all through the holiday.

Any advice how to approach this? Do I try to order 7 and explain my reasoning like I did in the text box last month or bite the bullet and move to 14? What do you all think?

CrystalVision · 13/10/2023 09:11

I think it's finally working after 5 days on 14mg. Didn't feel like food all day although I was hungry. Sight of food made me feel sick in restaurant last night. Bite of garlic bread and I felt really sick and went home to bed. It might have been the alcohol though. Nearly a bottle of wine but I was so ill it felt like 3..heartburn and banging headache all night. I didn't take a tablet this morning as I felt too ill. But I think it's OK to skip one occasionally. I have to go out again tonight so will be interesting to see if it's better to not take if I want to drink. No significant weight loss but maybe that will happen now I am eating less.

CrystalVision · 13/10/2023 09:14

Do you think the weight gain is just being able to keep food/water down and its the weight of food and not being dehydrated?

Could you order 7 from somewhere different?

Nah it's the Bombay potatoes! I have lost half a pound every day even during my period. To me it doesn't matter what the weight is I just go by the number on the scales.

Well done on the loss, that must feel great, they wouldn't let me have 2 month's of 7mg and I think it was because I said I had no side effects. If you tell them you feel you are still getting used to it and are experiencing side effects they may let you continue. I read it has a half life of 6 weeks so will take a while to leave your system so you could maybe do without for a little while. I go to 14mg tomorrow so I'll update in a few days with how I'm feeling.

CrystalVision · 13/10/2023 10:54

@IronHeart you could try 14mg on alternate days ? It has the same half life as thyroxine and I can take that on alternate days without noticing.

IronHeart · 13/10/2023 14:15

Thanks for the responses, I'll be very interested to hear how you get on with 14mg, @KayliDzhener . I'll see what HE say before I start shopping around. It's just low level nausea and acid I'm getting, not horrendous side effects but I don't want them to be worse.

KayliDzhener · 14/10/2023 09:35

60 days done. 1 stone 13.2lbs off. Very pleased with that. Just taken my 14mg tablet and I can feel it stuck in my throat. Somehow seems drier than the others. Bit more tonic water needed to swoosh it to my stomach

mumwheresmyribena · 14/10/2023 10:21

@KayliDzhener Rybelsus has a half-life of 1 week, just like Ozempic. You maybe thinking of how long it takes to get to a steady-state rather than half-life

CrystalVision · 14/10/2023 10:40

Day 6 on 14mg and i am getting to the point that I find it difficult to eat and the nausea is affecting work etc. Maybe because I have had wine the last two nights. If I don't feel better after a dry night I am going to alternate days.

That’s brilliant!

CrystalVision · 15/10/2023 09:09

Urggh the nausea is unbearable. I am going to reduce my dose. How is everyone else doing on 14mg ?

KayliDzhener · 15/10/2023 12:53

Day 2 no side effects. I have built up from 3mg over two months though.

RubyRed · 15/10/2023 20:20

I had a bit more appetite this evening so ate a bigger dinner than I have been but still only 2/3 of a side plate. I now have an upset stomach after a week of constipation (sorry for TMI) which may or may not be coincidence.

KayliDzhener · 16/10/2023 12:57

So today I have thrown up a lot. Yuk.

LanaRay · 16/10/2023 14:31

Oh no! This is my complete worry with moving to 14mg!! When I was on 7mg and poorly it sounds ridiculous but it was March April and not much on! Now I have so many things planned I just don’t want to be poorly for! What day are you @KayliDzhener?

After going up in weight I’m v slowly coming back down 1/4 pound every few days or so. Still on 7mg

MaryCruz · 16/10/2023 16:24

am nearly at 60 days and about to jump on to 14 (think i have 2 x 7 left)
day 2 of C25K (which i've spent a lot of time on the couch bit!!) and not looking forward to it.....in about half an hour

I have my booband (hot pink) as I hate wrestling into a sports bra, and will be hot and sweaty shortly - yuck!!

KayliDzhener · 16/10/2023 17:32

Day 3, it was only for about 10 mins but quite Xplosive, I had the same with 7mg too in two different weeks. First week I was fine then second Thursday I was sick and two weeks after that on Thursday too, ( I host a webinar every other Thursday which is how I remember the day). I ate too much last night (massive bowl of salad but under 500 cals) today I've managed soup and crackers
