Rybelsus for Weight Loss

★★★★★

MaryCruz · 20/08/2023 08:39

Today marks the first day of my journey with Rybelsus, I acquired from Online Pharmacy. Not referring, just information. My current weight stands at 14 stone 5 pounds, and my height is 5 feet 8 inches. I took my first tablet right when I woke up. I'm excited about this new chapter and would love for anyone interested to follow along. I plan to provide updates on my weight loss progress on a weekly basis, optimistically hoping for positive results. Joining this journey could be a great opportunity for us to share tips, experiences, and encouragement. I understand the importance of consistency and patience in this process, and I'm prepared for the ups and downs. It’s a step towards a healthier lifestyle, and I’m curious to see how Rybelsus will work for me. Let’s embark on this path together, sharing insights and supporting each other along the way.

I've been getting a bunch of emails about Wegovy coming in stock soon, although I bet it'll be reserved for those who need it most - I'm large but probably not large enough to qualify for the time being!

I do worry when the time comes for a switch, will I be denied because I will presumably be below the weight to qualify at all by then? I suppose Numan will look at history of it all and hopefully take that into account.

Monika · 08/02/2024 23:07

I do plan to stick with semaglutide for foreseeable & for maintenance, which is why I'm thinking forward to an eventual change to Wegovy

IronHeart · 09/02/2024 06:50

I am also looking at this as a long term medication, though I want to stay on Rybelsus rather than any of the injectables.
I was reading yesterday that another drug, mounjaro, is going through the process to be approved by the NHS. While it is injectable semaglutide, I hope it will further take pressure off demand for Rybelsus, making it easier to get!

Monika · 10/02/2024 09:13

Mounjaro also sounds very interesting, I've heard some people adjust to it better than Ozempic.

How's everybody doing? I lost another 2 pounds this week despite going out to eat three times, and a big party with booze! Those days I just have to write off my calorie counting 🤣

I am finding myself frustrated over how sloowwww everything is, and my partner keeps reminding me it's way healthier this way and to be patient! I keep thinking of myself six months in the future and can't wait to be there.

KayliDzhener · 10/02/2024 14:39

I've been stuck at the same weight for about a month now. I'm down to about 500/600 cals I can't really eat less. This week I am going to quite a few functions and that usually helps. But I haven't gained weight since March which is UNHEARD of for me. I still need to lose 4 or 5 stone though. I should do some exercise but I am way too lazy. WfH I do about 500 steps a dAY.

CrystalVision · 10/02/2024 14:57

Hi. I have been away for about 3 weeks. I forgot to bring scales, found some ancient ones but the line hasn't moved. I have stayed on 14mg every other day so i can eat and drink a bit with friends every night. Its still working and 2 or 3 glasses and small plate of food is it. I probably eat and drink 1500 cals a day but I am good with exercise....it just makes me hungry and I eat more than I burn. @KayliDzhener what about a power walk with an audio book or podcast ?

RubyRed · 10/02/2024 16:46

My weight loss is also very slow now, although my clothes feel looser on weeks when they scales have hardly moved so I’m trying not to fixate on the number on pounds lost.

Almost 3 stone down and another 3 to go.

LanaRay · 10/02/2024 17:51

I’m the same, hovering around the same weight for 3/4 weeks - up a bit down a bit. I’m trying to exercise more as slowed recently (am currently out for a walk whilst I type!). I don’t think I could eat less either but I have been enjoying more alcohol than normal so I’m going to try knock that on the head this week and see if it helps with the scales whilst upping my exercise. Well done everyone though, for me I know it’s a miracle compared to where I would have been without it!! Much heavier for a start!

zobalina77 · 10/02/2024 17:51

Ive been on 14mg for a week now and can barely eat anything. I dont feel hungry or think about food at all. I keep having to remind myself to drink water as I don't feel thirsty either. I went on holiday for a fortnight (while still on 7mg) and only gained 2lb, unheard of for me as I would usually gain over a stone on holiday. That 2lb came off straightaway, along with another 2. This is a game changer for me.

IronHeart · 10/02/2024 19:41

Same, ladies. My losses are slowing to about half a stone a month, I do lose more when I drink more water, though.
But any downward movement on the scales is good.

500 cals does sound extremely low @KayliDzhener , please be careful.

Monika · 11/02/2024 09:51

I am starting to think I'll have to up my exercise soon to kickstart my metabolism! With the heat this week and a cold, I've barely left the house.

I always feel better even after a walk so I'm going to try and push myself to do it more this week now it's not sweltering

Have to keep reminding myself the Rybelsus isn't a miracle drug and I need to put the work in too!

RubyRed · 11/02/2024 11:12

I read a really interesting book a couple of years ago that explained weight loss plateaus and why our bodies get stuck at certain weights. It was all to do with the balance of omega 3 and omega 6 in our bodies, I lost weight following the advice before so might try combining it with the tablets now.

BrendaLee · 11/02/2024 12:50

Well you were right about moving up to 7mg! I'm on day 4 and feeling lightheaded and nauseous... but not hungry. I'm hoping it will settle as I'm finding work quite hard. At least WFH so don't have to worry about being in public. Just sitting in from of a computer feeling woozy.

Let's see what happens next. Thank you for the advice and support.

KayliDzhener · 11/02/2024 13:41

Hope you feel better soon@BrendaLee it's grotty

imagiantwitch · 12/02/2024 07:33

Just checking in to join you all, this is my 1st day on 3mg, got about 5 stone to lose so fingers crossed I can make a dent in that by Xmas!

KayliDzhener · 12/02/2024 08:29

Welcome @imagiantwitch yes I'm sure you will put a massive dent in it. All the best

CrystalVision · 12/02/2024 10:36

Hi @imagiantwitch yes the loss is quick at the start. As you can see a few months in and it's slowing down for us.

Monika · 13/02/2024 14:06

Hi everyone, have secretly been lurking on this thread for a little while and got the courage to start on my rybelsus journey. I would like to lose around 40 pounds.

I have 2 days left on 3mg and I have not lost a single pound. Appetite hasn't really changed at all and have not had any side effects.

I'm so so disheartened, would love to hear from anyone with any positives when they hit 7mg.

IronHeart · 13/02/2024 14:46

Welcome @imagiantwitch and @Monika , lots of people report minimal losses until they get up to 7 or even 14 mg. Stick with it, you'll get there!

Monika · 13/02/2024 17:47

Thank you @IronHeart for your encouragement! It would be typical for me that I'm the only person that this wouldn't work for. Going to wait to start the 7mg dosage and hopefully that does something

KayliDzhener · 13/02/2024 21:40

Sorry I lost weight from day one. I do Fast 800 diet with the tablets,

KayliDzhener · 13/02/2024 21:41

What diet are you doing in conjunction with them?

Monika · 14/02/2024 00:48

I have been intermittent fasting, and trying to just eat healthier. No fizzy drinks, limiting how much sugar I eat etc .

Was hoping that if my appetite was reduced I would eat less and so would lose weight. But as it has had 0 effect on my appetite, I've just been dieting as usual and struggling

Adel · 14/02/2024 12:01

That's a shame, hopefully 7mg will be better for you. You do need to reduce calories as well though and need to.drink plenty of water and exercise its not a magic pill, despite the hype.we still need to put the effort in
