Farrah Abraham continues to toe the line that her sex tape was only meant for her private consumption. She says, as a way to document her fabulous body at its peak. But what concerns me is how inconsistent she has been in her response when asked why she sold the video to an adult video company:
She told Entertainment Tonight:
I have no relationships and I’m, like, sad sometimes. So, taking all this into consideration, which some find it hard to, that’s what brought me here today. I felt this was my way of embracing my sexuality and being happy for me.
Ok, I’ll give her that some of us use sex to enhance mood. There is actually a biochemical response our body has to sex that leads to feelings of well-being. But, I really wish I believed that she was doing this to embrace her sexuality. Granted, she seemed into it from her enthusiastic out of the gate anal scene (or should I say in to the backdoor) to her G-Spot squirting. It seems the adult film star James Deen was more than happy to oblige. I just wonder what that call might have been to his reps when they wanted the sell the idea to him. And for Farrah to seem shocked that James Deen would release it just seems darn right disingenuous. If she were truly embracing her sexuality and doing this as a healthy expression of it, her back peddling and so called resistance to the “leak” of the sex tape wouldn’t seem like a complete and utter fabrication.
I wish Farrah had just said that she decided to make a porno (not an accidental sex tape) that she got James Deen on board and the plan was to release it all along. I think she’d actually get more respect. I realize she is trying to strike while the iron is hot and she is marketing one of the main attributes she has – her body. But I’d feel so much better about it if she had done it in a truly empowered way.
